Our efforts include energy-efficient systems, waste management initiatives, and sourcing local, sustainable products, supporting local businesses and initiatives. We also take pride in reusing and revitalizing an ancient village. Because let’s be honest, what is more sustainable than reusing an abandoned borgo?

Regenerative hospitality focuses on creating positive, healthy relationships between the hotel, its guests, and the local ecosystem, both in terms of physical environments as well as social and economic systems that are already in place.

For us, that means forging strong, positive relationships with our neighbors, purchasing from local artisans, being creative in our construction of new buildings, and finding ways to reuse resources as much as possible.

All of Novanta consists of buildings that existed ages before our arrival. We have made them full of life again, while maintaining their original charm and reusing building materials and resources wherever possible.

• Using stones and tile that was left behind at the properties.

• Re-using items like bathtubs as flower gardes, livestock water buckets as light and window shutters as insulation covers.
